VectorWise is a spin out of the leading database research team of the renowned CWI Institute of Amsterdam.
It is led by Marcin Zukowski and Peter Boncz and includes researchers from
the MonetDB/X100 research project and a number of industry-experienced
software developers.
VectorWise also works closely with academic partners, including the CWI database group, known for its open source database system MonetDB that produced many of the insights on which VectorWise was later based.
VectorWise cooperates with Ingres Corporation and other partners on the Ingres VectorWise project, which will make VectorWise technology available to everyone following the Ingres open business model
